Acromegaly with Duodenal Cancer




Abstract
megaly is an uncommon disease characterized clinically by enlargement of the acral parts, coarse facial features and visceromegaly. An increased occurrence of colon cancer and colonic polyp in patient population with acromegaly have been
identified. In
addition to colonic cancer, the frequency of other neoplastic lesions especially gastrointestinal cancer such as stomach and esophagus are also increased in acromegly Malignancies of all forms account for approximately 15% of the deaths in
patients
with
acromegaly.
We present a case of acromegaly patient associated with primary duodenal adenocarcinoma with a review of literature.
